Notlar | This was probably the most spectacular meteor I've ever seen. It was big enough and close enough that I feel that pieces of it must have made landfall somewhere. It wasn't just in the sky. It was falling into the earth. |

Notlar | As the meteor was arching through the sky, there was an initial very bright, large burst (perhaps when it it the atmosphere??) then it calmed down, but continued to glow. Then, before it went out of sight behind the houseline on the horizon, there was another flare of brightness. |
