There were several airplanes in the sky and it was very obvious this was not a contrail based on size comparison and duration. It truly looked like a giant shooting star! It was wild! I was driving southbound on an Atlanta area hwy and noticed other cars breaking a bit as/after it happened- I assume this was their reaction to seeing it as well. It was very large and visible!
