The reason we noticed the meteor was because we were watching what looked like an unusually low satellite above us. We were baffled by the bright light and as we were watching, the meteor suddenly appeared in the same direction. The satellite-looking light was still moving across the sky after the meteor burned out.

As it got closer to the horizon, it looked at though it burst into flames with a blue blue green streak tail and finally bright white.
