| Notlar | Approximately 11:30 pm, Sunday, May 9th, I was driving through Kingston, Ontario and spotted a massive, bright green, and white light streaking through the sky. It was falling several km's north of the city and seemed to be earthbound, on a slight angle as opposed to a horizontal trajectory. This was not a typical meteor/meteoroid/meteorite. The head of the meteor was a brilliant white, bowed disc encompassed with both sheer white and dazzling, neon green. The plasma or ion tail was extraordinarily long and consisted of both the sheer white and neon green and tapered off to a very fine point, fading to yellow before disappearing completely. This was easily the most brilliant, glowing meteor I've ever witnessed and it actually seemed to be falling for several seconds before disappearing completely behind the skyline. I had enough time to see it, quickly pull over and start retrieving my cell phone from the console before it vanished. Certainly an incredible experience and I hope someone was able to record this breath-taking phenomenon. I don't think I'll ever personally witness a meteor that long-lasting and brilliant again in my lifetime. |

| Notlar | The train was the most brilliant surrounding the "fireball" (meteor?). It was very long, bright white and green and tapered off to a fine point. The last 7 to 10% of the trail quickly faded from brilliant white and green to a pale yellow before disappearing completely note: I do NOT understand the question"How long was the train?" I cant comprehend how the trains length is measured in degrees so my response of 45° is based on the approximate angle it fell to earth. |
